St. Catherine's Episcopal Church
We gather at 10:30 on Sunday mornings for the Episcopal Service of Holy Eucharist. The service includes music and singing, prayers, scripture readings, teaching, and communion. All are welcome to join us in person, or on Facebook Live, or via Zoom (request a link). You'll find some folks dressed in traditional "Sunday Best" and others in jeans and tees. Many stick around after the service for coffee and informal fellowship.
In June, we celebrate Juneteenth and Pride Month with special services.
In October, we celebrate the Blessing of the Animals, in commemoration of St. Francis. And of course Holy Week, Easter and Christmas are extra-special times for special services.
Special services are reasons for special celebrations. Baptisms, Confirmations, Visits from the Bishop -- these and more are cause for celebrations, typically held in the church just after the worship service.
Most Wednesday evenings at 6 pm at the church and online, we share in a book study. We take several weeks or a month to read a book together and discuss its message and implications for us. We are currently reading How Big is Your God? Please join us, or
Periodically, we'll arrange for special times of fellowship and fun, beyond the good times we have together each week in worship and other on going events. From Shrove Tuesday pancake dinners to movie nights at the church, we enjoy getting to know each other better in these informal gatherings.
