Feeding the Hungry

St. Catherine's assists The Parking Lot Ministry, a vibrant and ecumenical feeding ministry, implemented in collaboration by local churches to serve those in need throughout the Florence area. This ministry happens every Saturday morning in the parking lot at Hope Health.  St. Catherine's assists every other week (26 times per year) and we collect much needed toiletry items and other household basics to distribute on an ongoing basis.  We invite your participation.

We also collect food items for House of Hope,  a Christ-centered community providing hope by serving the needs of men, women and children facing homelessness

Helping Children of Abuse

We provide funds for CARE House of the Pee Dee, a children’s advocacy center.  CARE House of the Pee Dee’s mission is to promote help, hope, and healing in a nurturing environment to child abuse victims and their families, through supportive services and prevention.  St. Catherine's joins in the Capes for Kids and BBQ events to help raise funds for CARE House.

The Jonathan Foundation

St. Catherine's is proud to support The Jonathan Foundation in its fight to reduce teen suicides.  The Run for Brighter Days helps raise funds for this important work. 

Daughters of the King

Several St. Catherine's women are part of The Order of the Daughters of the King, a spiritual sisterhood of women dedicated to a life of Prayer, Service and Evangelism. Membership includes women in the Episcopal, Lutheran (ELCA), Anglican and Roman Catholic churches.  The Florence chapter helps fund Five Sparrows ministry, a free, twenty-four month recovery residence for women who are survivors of abuse, addiction, poverty, and prostitution located in the Pee Dee area of South Carolina. People of St. Catherine's provide gift cards for these women as part of this ministry.
